Once in a while, bottom-feeder studio PRC managed to turn a sow's ear into a silk purse. Regrettably, Border Badmen was not one of those occasions. Badly photographed, directed, and acted (from which third-rate chorus-line did they get bleach blonde Marilyn Gladstone?), the little Western comes alive only when Al St. John performs his usual shtick, this time in a haunted hotel setting complete with sliding panels and a mystery assassin. Unfortunately, these scenes are so darkly lit as to cause severe eye-strain.
