Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Claire Martin (Alice Lake) is an American art student in Paris who receives a blow on the head and becomes her gold-digging alter ego, Lolette. While Claire's fiancé, Howard Kent (William Lawrence), gives her up for lost, Lolette is being courted by an artist, Scott Houghton (Stuart Holmes). But when Houghton forces himself on her, she tries to push him away and he angrily marks her breast with a knife. The shock of the experience brings Claire back to her senses. She can't remember a thing about her experiences as Lolette, however -- she has only the scar on her breast to tell something went on -- and she refuses to marry Kent until she finds out what happened. She goes back to America and runs into Houghton who, believing she is still Lolette, inadvertently helps her solve the mystery, then winds up murdered. The killer turns out to be his nephew, so Claire and Kent are free to be together.
