He concentrates on teaching various melodies, bass lines, more complex chord progressions and inversions, music theory, and rhythm patterns. Additional guidance is given on improvisational playing. The emphasis is on harmony, rhythm, and lead playing as Cohen performs two well-known classics for viewers: "Georgia on My Mind" and "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out."
