Greg Withrow was raised by a father with a strong racist streak, an unstable personality, and a violent temperament. Withrow grew to adulthood sharing many of his father's flaws -- he became the leader of an Aryan skinhead group and developed a reputation for explosive violence. In time, Withrow began a personal transformation and renounced his racist views, eventually speaking out against the neo-Nazis he once led and marrying a Hispanic woman. However, while his views on race dramatically changed, Withrow was still a man with a deep well of bitterness and unstable emotions inside of him, and he found that changing his moody nature was as profound a challenge as transforming his attitudes about racism. Blink is a documentary that looks at Withrow's racist past and his struggles to remake both his opinions and his instincts towards violence. Produced for the PBS documentary series P.O.V., Blink was also shown in competition at the 2001 Seattle Film Festival.
