synopsis
It is, now, certainly difficult to imagine the impact of this film in 1969 -- as it must be equally hard to imagine that a militant black organization like the Panthers once existed. One of Newsreel's most widely distributed films, Black Panther introduced the world to the Panthers, their philosophies, and activity. At only 15 minutes, it's a short introduction, but even just the opening shot speaks volumes about a time now entirely foreign. It's an incredible piece of filmed history.
