Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Prolific Hong Kong filmmaker Lo Lieh directed this bloody and eccentric horror film reminiscent of the popular Black Magic series. The story concerns Chin Ben (Chen Kuan-tai), who has come to Indonesia seeking treasure. Accompanied by a local guide, Chin comes across the tomb of an ancient mummy, whose brain possesses the power to grant a wish as long as he feeds it an animal brain every day. Taking the brain and a vial of holy water with which to destroy it after it grants his wish, Chin goes home and prepares for a life of wealth and comfort. Unfortunately, the brain's gifts aren't quite as great as he might have hoped. Before long, the mummified evil has killed his sister, possessed his girlfriend, and eventually possesses Chin himself when he forgets to feed it the requisite sacrifices. Made on the cheap with some laughable effects work, the film is still a great deal of fun for fans of oddball Asian gore. Candice Yu co-stars with Man Yu-wah, and the director appears in a small role as a sorcerer.
