Tom Mix directed this Selig one-reeler in which the great cowboy star takes over the reigns of a stranded production crew, offering the audience a rare insight into the filming of a typical comedy-Western. At one point, however, the "unexperienced" cowboy-turned-movie mogul fires his gun up in the air, casing a stampede among the livestock that ruins the set.
