synopsis
This rare 1979 concert film presents one of the most revered and influential jazz pianists in history, post-bop maestro Bill Evans, live in concert. It was shot one year prior to his death from a hemorrhaging ulcer and bronchial pneumonia at age 51. Here, Evans - accompanied by Joe La Barbera on drums and Marc Johnson on bass - plays seven selections including "Turn Out the Stars," "Gary's Waltz," and "Who Can I Turn To?".
