Synopsis by Nathan Southern
In 2010, Barker White watched in silent horror as the catastrophic British Petroleum oil spill - now widely regarded as the greatest man made environmental atrocity in America's history - destroyed his hometown and many of the adjacent areas. Camera-in-hand, he began to travel across the impacted regions and interviewed individuals including fishermen, BP contractors, government workers, scientists and many others. In this resultant documentary, White presents a tapestry of greed and corruption belying the disaster, one undergirding much of American society, that is horrifying in its breadth and inclusiveness.
