Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
Three stories told by one director are gathered together in this film. In the first, a newlywed bride, imagining that she has terminal brain cancer, urges her spouse to kill her. Only after he does is it revealed that she had a benign tumor. In the second, two young women become bar-girls in order to pay for their educations. When they graduate, they both fall for the same man, and their friendship ends. In the third, the Virgin Mary in disguise heals a mentally retarded youth, who then slips from grace.
