The Berliner Philharmoniker mounts its famed European Concert perennially, on May 1st of each year; this particular one from 2008 finds maestro Sir Simon Rattle leading the symphony in interpretations of one piece each from the repertoires of Beethoven, Bruch and Stravinsky, against the backdrop of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, Russia. Featured selections are Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 in A Major, Op. 92, Stravinsky's Symphony in 3 Movements and Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1 in G Minor, op. 26.
