Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This forgettable and forgotten WWI propaganda piece served as a showcase for actor-director Francis Ford, at the time infinitely more popular and successful than his brother John Ford. A bunch of German spies infiltrate the Good Old USA and steal a batch of vital government documents. It is up to fearless American aviator Francis Ford to retrieve the papers and squash the villains. To achieve this, he assumes a false identity and worms his way into Berlin, where he joins the German Flying Corps and builds up a reputation as an indestructible air ace -- while somehow never shooting down an Allied plane! If the audience swallowed this, chances are that they went along with the rest of the nonsensical storyline.
