The tale of a love so strong it transcends time to manifest itself in a completely unexpected way, Bungee Jumping of Their Own takes the idea of endless love to an almost absurd (but also quite logical) extreme. The film's beginning gives no hint of what's to follow, instead setting up what appears to be a straightforward love story. After the film leaps forward in time, director Dai-seung Kim builds up to what could have come off as a ridiculous plot twist. But he does it with such subtlety and skill that when it comes, it seems entirely natural. Even more remarkably, it leads to a conclusion that manages to be both tragic and humorous.
