Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Amira Mor is the belly-dancing impresario. Founder of the Jewels of the Nile dance company and a certified fitness trainer, she is celebrated around the globe, both for her own belly dance technique -- her resumé includes performing for such notables as Jane Fonda, Jackie Mason, Sting, and the prince and princess of Morocco -- and for teaching others in the seductive art of belly dancing. As for the instructional end, Mor hosts her own series of at-home workout videos that enable each viewer to belly dance his or her way to improved fitness, via an unusual co-mingling of Eastern and Western dance movements. The Mor-hosted exercise regimen Belly Dancing Total Workout hones in on three areas: the development of stronger and firmer abs, the toning of one's arms and upper body, and the acquisition of increased flexibility per se, to give the entire body a vigorous workout.
