Iranian documentary filmmaker Abdolrasoul Golbon makes his feature debut with the drama Behesht Ja-ye digari ast (Paradise Is Somewhere Else). Teenager Eidak just wants to leave his small-town life near the Afgani border in favor of a future in the United Arab Emirates. However, his father wants him to stay and take care of the family's herd of goats. Using stolen money to pay for his escape, Eidak devises a plan to get former shepherd Gol Mohammad to take care of the goats for him. His plans are somewhat changed when he finds out his father has been killed in an accident on a construction site. Paradise Is Somewhere Else was screened at the 2003 Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
