Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Instead of marrying any of her suitors, aristocratic Frenchwoman Cleo de Bromsart (Edith Storey) leaves on a cruise hosted by Prince Selm (W. Templar Powell). She does, however, tell one man, Maurice Chenet (George Fisher), that she will have an answer to his proposal when she returns. But the yacht wrecks and she winds up on a desert island with two lusty sailors. Luckily for Cleo, one, Bompard (Jack Curtis), sinks into some quicksand; she kills the other when he tries to attack her. She is close to perishing when a beachcomber, Jack Raft (Noah Beery, Sr.), finds her. He nurses her back to health and she falls in love with him. However, when they return to Paris, her family is horrified that she is associating with a common man. Cleo believes that if she married Raft, it would only make them both unhappy, so her sends him away, and tells Chenet she will not wed anyone.
