Synopsis by Bhob Stewart
In Athens, 60-year-old clock repairman Thomas (Stavros Paravas) is a classical music buff who reads Dostoyevsky's Crime and Punishment. A Russian in Athens, 27-year-old Sonya (Tamilla Koulieva-Karantinaki) is under contract to supply two years of Athens call-girl service. Planning to return home and go to music school, Sonya also reads Crime and Punishment. The two meet, but their friendship upsets the criminal agency which has her under contract. In a subplot, the prostitute junkie Soso (Anna Fonsou) plans revenge on her pimp Max (Alberto Eskenazy). Russian-born Greek resident Koulieva-Karantinaki speaks Russian, Greek, and English in this film, shot in color with some scenes in black-and-white. Shown at the 1997 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
