Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

As this warm-hearted documentary notes, Liam O'Leary was a minor actor in a few "B" movies during the 1950s, but his real claim to fame is as a dedicated archivist of Irish films, an author on film topics, an expert on the Irish-American director Rex Ingram, and the founder of the Irish Film Society in 1920. O'Leary also produced and directed a few films and was the Acquisitions Officer at the British Film Institute's National Film Archive for many years. He was an enthusiastic 73-year-old when interviewed for this documentary and clearly devoted to film and its history. Aside from several of his friends, others interviewed here are British directors Lindsay Anderson (1923-1994) and Michael Powell (1905-1990), and Irish actor Cyril Cusack (1910-1993).
