Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Legendary conductor André Previn leads the London Symphony Orchestra for a series of concert performances in this classical compilation. First on the bill is Sergey Rachmaninov's The Bells, op. 35, mounted and filmed at London's Royal Albert Hall on July 26, 1973. Next up is Sergey Prokofiev's Lieutenant Kijé Symphonic Suite, op. 60, performed and filmed at Croydon's Fairfield Hall on April 24, 1977. The final selection on the bill is the overture from Candide, mounted and filmed at the Royal Festival Hall in London on November 25, 1971.
