synopsis
This big-screen production of Manuel de Falla's ballet is a romantic tragedy enacted by flamenco dancers. There are occasional flashes of brilliance, the cast is excellent and some of the scenes will have you glued to your seat, but all in all it is a disappointing movie that never really rises to its potential.
