synopsis
This video looks at the world of realistic war games that are used to train American soldiers for combat. The documentary was filmed at the Army's National Training Center in Ft. Irwin, CA. The viewer gets an inside look at the strict regimens and harsh conditions to which the soldiers are subjected to make them tough enough for battle. In this war game, the "Regular Army" is pitted against the "Opposition Force," which uses Russian military tactics, doctrines, and machinery. The "Regular Army" uses American strategies and weapons in a battle of lasers.
