synopsis
Marie-Jose Nat plays Amelie in this melancholy French melodrama. Extremely depressed when her beloved cousin Jean Sorel is stolen away by a temptress, Amelie loses the will to live. Upon his return, Sorel discovers that his sister has died. With no one left to care for, Sorel opts for a solitary life on the sea. Director Michel Drach adapted his screenplay from a novel by Michele Angot.
