Mickey Rooney and James Mitchum co-star in this Ron Winston-directed military drama about a highly risky mission carried out by small group of Marines. After the death of his troop's captain, Sgt. Steve Corey (Hugh O'Brian) takes the reins, looking to guide his troops to a Philippine island, where a spy is waiting to provide military intelligence. However, after making their way through a jungle full of enemy soliders, the crew loses radio communication with their base, and must continue to make their way to the island destination as Japanese troops look to attack them.
