synopsis
An elderly couple living in the mountains of Greece hide partisans after they clash with Nazi invaders. They disapprove of any kind of fighting but vow to help those in need. When two Germans are trapped away from their unit, the kindly couple extends the same help to the enemy. This story is based of the legend of Philemon and Baucis from Ovid's "Metamorphoses."
