synopsis
The Australian Always Another Dawn is a tribute to the Royal Australian Navy and its exploits during WW II. With full naval cooperation, director Tom McCreadle was able to re-create such famous seafaring skirmishes as the Battle of the Coral Sea. The dramatic scenes are handled by relative newcomers Charles Tingwell and Guy Doleman, both of whom went on to substantial film careers. Originally released at 115 minutes, Always Another Dawn was cut down to 85 minutes for non-Australian distribution. In America, the film was handled by Universal-International.
