Robert Firsching
This lesbian coming-of-age film won the Gay Teddy Bear at the Berlin Film Festival and is just as sweet and cuddly as its award would imply. Alison Folland is a very appealing lead, handling the heartbreak of first love, the trepidation of youth, and the courage of decision with equal aplomb. This is one of those "little" films that too often get ignored in favor of more flamboyant fare -- even at a lot of festivals -- and is well worth seeking out.
