Alice Goodbody (1974)
by Donald Guarisco review

Alice Goodbody is a typical example of the problems inherent in making a sex comedy: simply put, it isn't sexy enough or funny enough to deliver what the concept promises. More importantly, Alice Goodbody fails to balance its few amorous and humorous elements effectively and they end up working against each other: Tom Scheuer's muddled script attempts to poke fun at Hollywood sexism but is so interested in exploiting the assets of its dimwitted title character that none of the satire ever takes flight. The only thing Alice Goodbody really has going for it is Sharon Kelly's performance: she's attractive and has good comic timing but the subpar character she's saddled with squanders these abilities. The end result is a combination of lifeless vaudeville-style gags and gratuitous nudity that limps along in a way that makes its under-90-minute running time feel like an eternity. As a result, Alice Goodbody is likely to alienate even the most patient viewers.
