Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The all-but-forgotten Emily Stevens played a dual role in the silent Alias Mrs. Jessop. The "good" Emily poses as her "bad" cousin, and vice-versa. This results in any number of romantic complications involving Howard Hall, the husband of one of the cousins. They laugh alike, they walk alike, at times they even talk alike: you can lose your mind! At the time of its release, Alias Mrs. Jessop was praised for its excellent double-exposure and split-screen work. And at 5 reels, it was able to sustain its basic gimmick without lapsing into dullness.
