synopsis
Perhaps best known as the director of such films as Tea With Mussolini and 1968's Oscar-winning Romeo and Juliet, Franco Zeffirelli is also a Tony Award winner and has made a name for himself for his work on the stage. With direction and set design by Zeffirelli, this release from TDK Mediactive features a 2001 performance of Giuseppe Verdi's classic opera Aida.
