Synopsis by Perry Seibert
An acknowledged influence on the legendary Miles Davis, Ahmad Jamal is a famed jazz pianist who is less popular with the public than he is among other jazz musicians. This concert film features Jamal performing in a trio with drummer Crosley Payton and bassist Subu Adeyloa. They perform such standards as "My Funny Valentine," and "Autumn Leaves." The trio is joined by Gary Burton for a short set as well.
