synopsis
Afraid of Everything, which premiered in the American Spectrum section at the 1999 Sundance Film Festival, is a first feature by David Parker and stars Nathalie Richards and Sarah Adler as half-sisters in crisis. After Annie suffers a permanent disability in an auto accident, her marriage to Donny (Daniel Aukin) begins to fall apart. Annie develops agoraphobia, and their romantic and sexual frustrations mount as their relationship slips away. When Annie's half-sister Iris returns from Israel and moves in with them, her spunk and charisma breathes new life into the unhappy couple. Iris forces them to come out of their shells and re-examine both the world and their relationship.
