synopsis
Knocked unconscious in chapter nine of The Adventures of Red Ryder, Red (Donald Barry) recovers just in time to escape the explosion in the recorder's office. Learning that Ace Hanlon (Noah Beery) is the secret owner of the nefarious S&L Land Company, Red tails the villain to a rendezvous with his boss, crooked banker Drake (Harry Worth). His presence, however, is discovered by one of Red's henchmen, Slade (Reed Howes), and the conspirators manage to escape. Red is about to catch up with the fleeing Drake when his horse stumbles after clearing a dangerous-looking gorge. It appears that Red has finally run out of luck.
