Adventures from the Book of Virtues: Perseverance on AllMovie

This program is part of a PBS animated children's series which examines some character qualities for young ones to develop. The episodes are based on the best-selling anthology The Book of Virtues, by former U.S. Education Secretary William Bennett. Annie and Zach are the show's animated human stars, who learn of virtue from their animal mentors, whose names -- Aristotle, Socrates, Aurora, and Plato -- reflect their philosophical nature. This episode considers the virtue of perseverance through illustrative stories, including "Scarface," "The Stars in the Sky," "Ulysses and the Cyclops," and "You Mustn't Quit."
