Synopsis by Janiss Garza

"We'll be just two little lovey-dovey birds," newlywed Monty Banks tells his pretty bride, Kitty (Gillian Dean), as they prepare to embark on their romantic honeymoon trip to Paris and London. Then wifey drops the bomb: Her bossy, overbearing mother (Lena Halliday) is coming along. And it gets worse -- mother is accompanied by her parrot, cat, and dog, all of which Monty has to carry from boat to taxi to hotel and back again. Needless to say, the couple has a much less than lovey-dovey time. Monty also runs afoul of a flirtatious young woman (Judy Kelly) with an extremely jealous husband (Colin Kenny), so he spends the better part of the film either in fear for his life, or in fear of his mother-in-law. Finally, in London he pays a couple of shifty characters to kidnap mother, but they take Kitty instead and refuse to give her back unless Monty pays a hefty ransom. This lightly entertaining comedy was the first that Monty Banks made in England, and the first directing effort by gagman Tim Whelan.
