Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Ace High is one of the earliest Tom Mix westerns still in existence. Technically, the film is a "northern," since most of the action takes place on the U.S.-Canadian border, where Baptiste Dupre (Colin Chase) operates a way-station for fugitive criminals. Canadian Mountie Jean Rivard (Mix) spends every waking hour in hopes of bringing the politically connected Dupre (Colin Chase) to justice. Along the way, Rivard is reunited with his childhood sweetheart Annette (Kathleen Connors), who unbeknownst to herself is Dupre's father. Rivard does his best to keep this information a secret from Annette, but the truth is revealed when crooked sheriff Jack Keefe (Lawrence Peyton) kidnaps the girl in order to get even with the outlaw. Placing love over duty, Rivard orchestrates Annette's reunion with Dupre then "forgets" to arrest the man.
