A Place Out of Time: The Bordentown School on AllMovie

Ironically, although the Supreme Court's 1955 Brown v. Board of Education decision embodied a massive leap forward in the crusade for human rights, racial integration and equality, it had at least one unforeseen drawback: it resulted in the immediate closure of a remarkable institution known as the Bordentown School. Located in Bordentown, New Jersey, this educational institution taught values, self-discipline and life skills to African American children of many generations. As produced by Hudson West Productions and originally aired on PBS, the documentary Place Out of Time carries audiences inside of the Bordentown School for a look at its many remarkable accomplishments.
