Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Sara Colangelo's gently observed, 12-minute coming-of-age short A Moment to Breathe concerns a young man who kills pigs in a rural Italian slaughterhouse for a living. He hates his work and the oppressiveness of his environment - so much, in fact, that he impulsively decides to abandon his life and take off for the nearest city, with his girlfriend's teenage sister in-tow.
