Directed by Stephen Frears, this drama is a fictional retelling of real-life events that happened in 2012 in the United Kingdom. The story follows writer and amateur historian Philippa Langley (Sally Hawkins). She was instrumental in accurately estimating the location of Richard III’s remains, leading to their eventual discovery. The film narrates Philippa’s journey as she persevered in this endeavor while being discredited by eminent historians of the country. Co-starring Steve Coogan and Harry Lloyd.
