Barbra Streisand headlines this over-the-top comedy, which gets a sturdy release on DVD. For Pete's Sake has been given two transfers to disc for this twin-sided edition -- a letterboxed version in the widescreen aspect ratio of 1.85:1 (which is also enhanced for anamorphic playback on 16 x 9 monitors) and a pan-and-scan transfer in the full-screen ratio of 1.33:1. The original English-language audio track has been mastered in Dolby Digital Mono, as is a dubbed track in French. This disc also includes optional subtitles in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean, and Thai. Bonus materials include a commentary track from director Peter Yates, biographies of the key cast and crew members, notes on the making of the movie, and a collection of coming attractions trailers.
