In Memoriam
Richard Lewis, 1947-2024
Known for his paranoid but insightful stand-up comedy, Lewis also had a surprising number of film appearances (usually acting as a version of himself). Aside from his commentary in documentaries, his notable roles include the tense film Drunks, the underrated comedies Robin Hood: Men in Tights and Wagons East, and in the Oscar winning Leaving Las Vegas.

Harry is the man and Tonto is the cat in Paul Mazursky's adventurous road movie. Harry's Upper West Side apartment gets torn down so he decides to traverse the country, going west of Chicago for the first time in his life while picking up tidbits about the modern culture that he'd kept at bay in Manhattan, crossing paths with his kids and former flames, and making sure Tonto eats properly.
