biography
The third wife of stage and screen star Dustin Farnum, Winifred Kingston appeared mainly opposite her husband and was his co-star in The Squaw Man (1914), regarded as the first feature film produced in Hollywood. They also did an early version of Owen Wister's immortal The Virginian (1914), and Kingston was the romantic interest of her husband's Cameo Kirby (1914), David Garrick (1916), Davy Crockett (1916), and The Parson of Panamint (1916). When Farnum slowed down his activity due to illness in the early '20s, so did his wife. He left her a widow in 1929, by which time she was very much retired.
