Over his long career, animator Virgil Ross worked for Walter Lantz, and Warner Brothers. While at the former, Ross played a key role in developing one of Lantz's best-loved early characters, Oswald the Rabbit, in the early 1930s. At Warners, he helped bring Bugs Bunny to life in his debut animated short. Ross subsequently worked on over 200 "Looney Tunes" shorts, including a few Oscar-winners such as "Knighty Knight Bugs."
