Biography by AllMovie

A former child actress from Michigan, blonde Violet Palmer appeared in vaudeville prior to embarking on a screen career in the mid-1910s. A popular ingénue in such Fox melodramas as The Blue Streak (1917), opposite future director William Nigh, and Rough and Ready (1918), opposite William Farnum, Palmer reached a pinnacle of sorts playing the title role in Ginger (1919), in which she bravely enlists in the Great War. Her career waned after that, however, and by 1926 she was appearing opposite lower-echelon stars such as Bob Custer. Palmer's screen career did not survive the changeover to sound.
