biography
Western star Buck Jones' first director at Fox, Thomas N. Heffron was a former lawyer turned vaudeville dancer -- a career in which he reportedly excelled, despite possessing only one leg! Having begun his directorial career with the New York-based Thanhouser Corporation in 1911, Heffron later worked for Biograph, Selig, Fox, and finally Paramount. His name disappears from film credits after 1922.
