British director Terry Bishop made commercial films during the '40s, '50s and '60s. He began his career as a sound assistant in the early 1930s. In 1941, he began directing documentaries and in 1949, he won an Academy Award for Daybreak in Udi, a film he made for the British Information Services. He began making feature films in the early '50s.
