biography
Actress Norma Terris became a star after appearing in Flo Ziegfeld's 1927 production of Show Boat. Though Ziegfeld claimed to have discovered her, Terris had already starred in a George M. Cohan production, Little Nellie Kelly. Beginning in the late '20s, Terris made a few sporadic film appearances in such outings as Married in Hollywood (1929). After a few more Broadway performances, Terris became affiliated with the St. Louis Municipal Opera Company in the mid-'30s.
