Canadian born writer Terri Tatchell studied her craft at the Vancouver Film School, but she first left her stamp on the film world in 2006, when she collaborated with her friend Neill Blomkamp on the short film Adicolor Yellow. The two proved to be excellent creative partners, and they would eventually reteam for the 2009 adaptation District 9, a project that would earn Tatchell an Oscar nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
