Sundance Head was a 27-year-old newlywed expecting his first child in just a few short months when he auditioned for the sixth season of American Idol in Memphis, TN. Son of '60s crooner Roy Head, who enjoyed a successful career singing country, R&B, and rock & roll, Sundance aspired to become a professional musician early on, learning how to sing as well as play the guitar, bass guitar, and piano. For his AI audition, Sundance wowed the judges with a soulful rendition of "Stormy Monday," earning him a ticket to Hollywood by a unanimous decision.
