A veteran of the famous Miller 101 Ranch show and the rival Parker Amus company, handsome clean-cut Sid Jordan was an early associate of Western star Tom Mix, whom he menaced in countless two-reelers in the early to mid-1910s. When Mix signed with producer William Fox in 1918, he brought Jordan along and continued to employ him as a villain. At one point Fox actively planned to star the dark-haired supporting player in a series of his own. In the end, the studio settled for Ken Maynard instead and Jordan spent the remainder of his career in bit parts. Leaving films around 1940, Jordan later became a ranch foreman and stock supervisor. He was reportedly a cousin of humorist Will Rogers.
