biography
German director Sherry Hormann made her feature-film debut in 1991 with Leise Schatten and won four German awards. She was born in New York state but raised in Germany from the age of six. She launched her film career following graduation from the Academy for Television and Film (HFF) in 1984. She started out as a screenwriter and her first produced script, Tiger, Lowe Panther was made for television by Dominik Graf in 1988. The film won Hourmann an award for "Best Television Play."
